Lobster Theremin's Imre Kiss and Exitab's Casi Cada Minuto: 'A-sites' the new split series curated by the recently launched Proto Sites imprint pairs two burgeoning artists. The fledgling Hungarian producer confirms his status as one of the pillars of Budapest's murky underground, delving beyond the immersive haze-house deconstructions of his 'Midnight Wave' tape and the now sold-out 'Raw Energy' EP. The new material works within the range dissolving and re-compounding techno ridden tropes, tangible percussion work and Kiss' trademark uncanny synths.
Although the rich yet minimalist aural texture of Casi Cada Minuto's 'Intonarumori' comes in juxtaposition to Kiss' decayed sound, its loopy wave motion seemingly never ending or beginning, holds same affinity for the effects of repetition and strangely volatile synth work. With 'Mindless' the fluid hallucinatory setting comes full circle: distinct echo of early kosmische/krautrock collides with radio-static emissions reminiscent of NASA's recent soundcloud contribution to the world.

As expected from somebody that appeared in the Ghostly Swim series, Patricia brings lax lo-fi house with mild spookiness. Between foggy courtyarder "Mercury In Retrograde", funky minimal "Just Visiting (with Cloudface)", and basement breakdown "Bed Of Nails", the experience is like witnessing an awkward spirit who can only get down with a paper bag over its head in an old manor with cut rugs and peeling wallpaper while strobe lights are going off... Yeah, it's quite an addicting trip. Moonholders

House with a bit of stain and grit for hard-boiled DJs or subway dancecrews, with the Ivy mix of "M15" being the linchpin of this release. Just as the tunnels of NYC, this bad boy stretches out into a beast, sprawled out in all the right places, reverberating the halls with its funky rhythm as it keeps picking up more perc elements to adorn its jacket with.
